I hadn't heard anything about this............  Will send the link around to the other board members to get some feedback.

There have been some rumors about us moving (at least part time) into one of the other larger and taller hangars.

So I'm told we are one of the low impact uses that will continue to be allowed, at least for the short term.

If the building is shut down or torn down we will be could be homeless and searching....

That wouldn't be much to cry about. Hanger 30 sucks. Super tiny and crowded.

A small crowded home is better than homeless.

A local tennis club is building a large indoor tennis court, larger and taller than hangar 30. It would probably be expensive to use the facility, but its an idea. It is a 30 second drive from our soon to be new flying field in kirkland. Also, if we make club membership and paying fees, we could use school gymnasiums, as long as there is no blade scraping and no gym teachers that hate prop marks on their perfect floors :P

Ill ask about it at my school, we have a HUGE gym, its in bellevue.

(This is all only if we did lose the location, of course)

Roto,

Sorry to hear you don't like our hangar.  Those of us who fly there all year think it's at least better than nothing.

Zach,

I've looked into gyms and the biggest problem is they are very hard to reserve during basketball season as the school teams have priority.  And of course basketball season is right in the middle of our indoor season.

As of the last session we are booked into hangar 30 for next season (Sept thru May).

We would always be open to bigger, better facilities but up until now haven't found anything.
